Open Days
Originally known as The Warley Symposium, our open days have always been low key events - but with the intention of promoting railway modelling as well as providing an insight to the club and hobby. .
We now hold two Open Days each year, the first in February, the second in July.
These are the opportunity to come and see what Warley Model Railway Club offers its members.
To meet people with similar interests and maybe to find the answer to the problem that has been troubling you for some time.
It is also the chance for some of the members to indulge their interests without the hustle and hassle of the exhibition. Even the exhibition manager can find time to sit down and do a bit of modelling
Light refreshments are usually available to purchase and seating is available where you can chew the fat over some item of common interest.
As many of the club's layouts will be operational as possible and there is usually the chance to get to grips with operating one of them.
Whilst it cannot be guaranteed, there is often the opportunity for you to bring your favourite locomotive and see it run an one of the club’s layouts.
The club usually runs a bring and buy table at the February event, so that members can offer their surplus items and the visitors have the chance to acquire some "long sought" model.
