Gauge1 station building, still under construction.

The building is 4 feet long and getting heavier with each layer of detail added.  The building is based on Nottingham London Road Low Level station which was the old Great Northern terminal.

As the model is going outdoors the basic carcass is pvc fascia board screwed together. As it is about 8mm thick then it's nearly to scale 9inch brickwork.

It is covered with Southeast Finecast 10mm scale embossed plastic sheet in Flemish bond. The roof slates are from Tenmille.  The windows are mainly Jackson Miniatures dolls house window inserts; some as they come and some modified to have an arched top. Detailing is mainly built up from Evergreen styrene strip.

I started building it in October 2014.
