This layout is a scale model of the former Great Western and Midland Railway joint station that was located at the bottom of Mucklow Hill, Halesowen. It is modelled as the station appeared in the mid 1930's.
Originally started in the early 1980's the layout continues to be updated and has attended many exhibitions including Model Rail 1998 'Denbosch, Netherlands exhibition.
The first picture above was taken shortly before closure, showing an enthusiasts train that is having a change of loco. In the far distance is Old Hill, from where the pannier would have brought the train. The 2-6-0 will shortly depart passing under Mucklow Hill on its way to Longbridge. The bulk of the Henry Summers works, on the right, towers over the scene.
