Warley Model Railway Club CIO Privacy  Policy

This privacy notice tells you how Warley Model Railway Club CIO collects and uses personal information about any living individual. “We” means Warley Model Railway Club CIO. The club is registered with the Data Protection Registrar.

Club Members

We are required by our charity registration have to keep a record of members and  to do this we record your name,  address,  telephone number(s), email address and date of birth where age is a qualification for type of membership (e.g. student)

We use that  information to administer the club, in particular to collect fees and make payments and ensure the information required by our charity registration is up to date. We keep financial information in the form of records of fees paid to the club or  payments made to the member for any purpose.

With your consent  (and that of your parent/guardian if you are under 18years of age)  we may use the membership data to contact you and provide you with general information, information about club activities and information related to the hobby. We keep a record of the consent given

With the appropriate consent we may contact you by post, telephone or email.   Email is our  preferred means of contact .

We do not share members information with anyone and if a request is made (other than by a legal authority that we have to comply with) we will pass any request for information to you to deal with. We limit the access to membership records to Trustees of the club.

We keep the information whilst you are a club member and for no longer than two years after you  leaving the club, unless there is a specific reason for keeping it, or you have asked for the information to be deleted.

You have the right to know what information we hold about you, the right to opt out of us using the information for purposes other than that required by the charity registration, the right to correct information and to have your  information deleted from our records.

Non Member information.

If you contact us requiring information about the club we may keep a record of your contact, but will not use it for any other purpose without your consent.

If you consent to us keeping your information and to us using it to provide you with further information we will do that by post or email according to the consent given.  We will keep the information for as long as we have a relationship with you unless you ask us to delete it or you ask us to no longer contact you.

You have the right to know what information we hold about you, the right to opt out of us using your information, the right to correct information we hold about you and to have your information deleted from our records.

What is Warley Model Railway Club CIO

Warley Model Railway Club is a charitable incorporated organisation . The objects of the Club are to advance public education and foster a general interest in model railways, railways and allied pursuits, and in particular to encourage a high standard of modelling amongst the members of the Club. The Trustees of the CIO are members of the club who have been elected to hold those positions.
